1) I just signed up for a Maine-Rentals advertiser account. How do I add or edit my listing(s)?

2) What major towns and vacation areas are represented in each Maine Region?

The Maine vacation travel regions listed on our site are as follows:

To see our latest, updated list of towns/areas go to "Advanced Search" and scroll to where it says "Location". The drop-down menu will show which towns/areas are in each of our regions. The Maine Vacation website has a very detailed map of Maine which may also be of help. It is a searchable PDF Maine map.


3) How can I search for a vacation rental in Maine?


You can use the simple form in the upper right hand corner of our site and search by the maximum rental rate you are willing to spend, or the search by the type of rental (i.e. cabin, cottage, condo, etc.), or search by location in Maine, or by minimum number of bedrooms. 

If you want more detailed information - searching multiple items at one time then please use our advanced search. You may also use this form to search for a property owner or rental agent.


4) On the Search Results page, what does ASC and DESC mean?

Clicking on ASC will show lowest rental rates first, DSC will show highest rental rates first.


5) Why is there a box next to the rental rates on the search result pages?

Clicking these boxes allows you to compare 2 or more properties at one time. A maximum of 3 properties is suggested as it becomes harder to read te text that is presented in vertical columns.


6) Can I print a property listing?

Yes, on the individual property listing page, scroll to "Additional Options". Click on the "print page" option. You can also view the listing as a PDF, email the listing to a friend, or bookmark the property as a favoite!


7) How do I view photos on the site?

You may view photos in 2 different ways. If you click on the tab "Image Gallery" you can view an image slideshow or you can scroll down to the rows of thumnail photos, click on them and view the photos in their original size in a slideshow format. Neither of these galleries opens in a new window.


8) Can I email the owner or rental agent for the property via their page on Maine-Rentals.com?

Yes, scroll down to the "Additional Options" section and click on "Send Message". You may also visit their website if they have one. Simply click on the "Visit Website" link to the right!


9) Why are some Availability Calendars blank? 

Some agents or property owners already have their own availabilty calendars on their websites. If a calendar is not marked it is suggested that you visit the website associated with the property. 


10) Which property rentals allow pets?

Pet friendly rentals are marked with a blue paw print in the search results. The individual property page will also specfy if the rental allows pets. You may also want to visit our pet friendly travel website (pethospitality.com)


11) Can I be alerted when new listings are posted on Maine-Rentals.com?

Yes, simply send us an email via our specialized form on the Listings Alert page. You may also sign up for our newsletter by typing your email address and clicking on the "Go" button in the upper righ hand corner of our website.


12) I am thinking about purchasing a seond home (vacation home) in Maine. Does Maine-Rentals.com offer a mortgage calculator?

Yes, click here or see the link at the bottom of each page.


13) I would like to list my property on Maine-Rentals.com. How do I become a member?

Click on "List Your Rental". You must first sign up as a member. It is free to join! After you sign up as a member you will get details on rate packages, etc. Your property does not currently have to be a rental property to sign up as we also have a category for properties fo sale!


14) Is Maine-Rentals.com a new website?


No, We have been publishing the site for the last couple of years but had limited ourself to the Rangeley Lakes Region. We are now offering rental and for sale listings to property owners and agents through out the state of Maine!

 
15) I have a question that is not listed above. How can I get in touch with Maine-Rentals.com?
